In this episode, Carolyn speaks with educator, writer, doula, and mom of 5, Bethany Dykman, about home birth (Yes, she had all 5 of her children at home!). They answer questions surrounding the home birth experience and compare and contrast the hospital-based biomedical model of childbirth and home birth.

"With birth, and with home birth, I think that visualization of what’s going to happen and how it’s going to play out is really important. I believe with home birth it’s even more important because you have to be able to accept all the possibilities of birth. Because so much is out of our control."
